This training is for those whose English Pronunciation and Speech Rhythm are at a very high level but feel their intonation in English is preventing them from optimising spoken English communication skills.  Developing a finer nuance in English intonation requires intensive ear training and practice of the rising and falling tones of intonation to get your message across to the optimum.

• Tone units and phrases: learn to break speech down into phrases and identify the tonic syllables and rhythmic patterns in each phrase.
• Tonic syllable focus: your teacher will guide you through a detailed study of the key intonation tones and their meanings. The rising tones, the falling tones and the mid-level tone all carry specific nuances, which can be fine-tuned to optimise spoken English communication skills.
• Applied intonation: listen, practice and build confidence. From tone to phrase to sentence to the whole picture, we will guide you how to use intonation to have the maximum impact on the listener.
• Emotional connection and intonation: work on how to use intonation tones to express your emotions and assert them with confidence. Learn to apply intonation, whether it’s in dialogue, acting or presentations.
• Intonation in accents of English: different accents of English have different intonation patterns. Choose your preferred accent to study from British English (Received Pronunciation, the Estuary Accent, the Manchester Accent & more), General American & Australian.
• Audio homework after each lesson: a new practice MP3 file after each lesson so you can repeat the lesson as often as you wish.
